Pretty Boy’s head was hurting, and he didn’t know what else to do.
An elephant was in so much pain, he walked right up to doctors to ask for help. It turned out the boy had been shot in the head just centimeters too high for what hunters call the “kill shot.” He knew he needed help, and he needed it now.
They tranquilized the elephant and took X-rays which revealed a deformed bullet lodged in his skull. They performed surgery on Pretty Boy to remove the bullet, and afterward he was so tired and exhausted that he fell asleep right up against a tree. It’s so sad that people hunt these beautiful creatures for sport, and Pretty Boy was very lucky to survive.
