Tracy Metkea took a new colt out on a trail one day. Thankfully, her four-year-old Australian Shepherd, Becky Jo, tagged along with them.
The young horse happened to get spooked and took off running. Tracy fell but was stuck in one of the stirrups and was dragged for nearly half a mile. But Man’s Best Friend was there to save her life…
The woman lay there with a concussion and a fractured skull, and Becky Jo knew to run back to the house to get Tracy’s husband to call for help. They say she could’ve died there if she didn’t receive the care when she did. Amazing.
